While nothing quite matches the feeling of catching a great wave, what does come close is watching epic surf films of other people catching great waves. Two awesome surf film festivals are coming to San Diego this spring, so take some time on dry land and catch a wave on the big screen!

San Diego Surf Film Festival
May 11-13 2012
The inaugural San Diego Surf Film Festival welcomes one and all to celebrate the passion that we all share for just being in the ocean. Since Bruce Brown sent shockwaves throughout the world with “Endless Summer” the surf film has become a staple in our lives. Surfing and surf cinema alike have been developed by individuals with a deep passion for trying to capture and preserve the very special feeling of just being a surfer. The inaugural San Diego Surf Film Festival will take place at Bird’s Surf Shed, May 11-13, 2012 and welcome filmmakers and surf enthusiasts around the world to come celebrate the art of surf cinema in our beautiful hometown.
INT is proud to be a part of Indo Jax Surf Charities! Check out Indo Jax’s awesome new music video, featuring children surfing with INT across the world – from India to Belarus!
Indo Jax Surf Charities works to empower disadvantaged, medically fragile and special needs children by exposing them to the ocean environment and teaching them to surf.
INT is making waves in more ways than one, recently donating rescue boards to the American Samoa Aquatics Agency (ASAA) to be used in the ‘Toa o’le Tai’ (Ocean Heroes) program as well as in the Ocean Swimming/Ocean Science Physical Education (PE) class at Samoana High School.

Life in North County San Diego is nothing short of amazing. With almost perfect weather, beautiful beaches and endless days full of sweet waves – we couldn’t be happier to call Carlsbad our home. But that doesn’t mean you won’t see INT boards out shredding from coast to coast.
INT is proud to be the board of choice for Indo Jax Surf School, in Wilmington North Carolina. This family owned surf school has been teaching East Coast groms the ways of the water for over four years; offering safe, quality instruction from certified teachers with extensive surf backgrounds. More than just a surf school, Indo Jax dedicates time and effort to help local charities and works to bring surfing to those who otherwise might not have the chance to experience all the ocean has to offer.

INT happily supported the surfing dogs at this year’s Rose Parade. The surfing dog float was officially measured at 119 ft and 7 inches and weighed 131,950 pounds – beating the previous Guinness World Records for longest and heaviest float! Spectators and media couldn’t get enough of the float – shocking and surprising everyone when the surfing dogs took center stage! Since we had such a blast and the dogs were shredding on our INT boards, we thought we should share some pictures for those who missed the fun. Pictures courtesy of Betsy Martin.
Companies have tried to copy our innovative blackball design, even going as far as to call their model a “Beater” as well. The July 2010 Surfer Mag set the record straight, featuring a softboard review with four pro surfers riding the different brands and giving their honest feedback. INT beat the competition to solidify our role as King of the Foamies. “Really fun, snappy, loose and paddles well. You could learn how to surf on it and perform maneuvers on it. It’s a definite all-around machine”, says Jesse Merle-Jones; one of the four pros that ranked our blackball beater in first place. “I definitely recommend these for surfing. And the INT one is a high-performance board as well.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
Don’t think that different animals can’t get their kicks on an INT as well. Abbie the Dog took 1st place with over 2000 spectators in Imperial Beach for the “Surf Dog Competition”. Pictured here on a 5′10 custom fiberglass bottom, Abbie’s next goal is to challenge Slater and Fanning on the WCT ‘11 Tour to see who is truely “The Top Dog” in the surf world.
Shapers be warned, Ryan Burch does not need you to rip. Here he is stylin’ on a slab of water-proof INT IFOAM at an undisclosed location. Eat your heart out finless wood plank blast from the pasts.
